This was a poem written for a poem and writing competition. This is about travelling somewhere in your imagination, which I think is quite important in a time in our lives where we can’t go anywhere we like.
If I could travel anywhere,
I’d travel near and far.
If I could travel anywhere,
I’d go further than the stars.
I’d travel round the earth three times,
And visit every place.
And after I had done all that,
I’d go to outer-space.
I’d see how big our universe is,
By taking a rocket ship.
I’d try and find some aliens,
And listen to them yip zip blip.
If I could travel anywhere,
I’d travel near and far.
If I could travel anywhere,
I’d go further than the stars.
I’d start off travelling locally,
And visit my family.
I’d make sure that I see the ones,
I don’t normally see.
Then I’d travel to somewhere,
Somewhere that has food.
I’d finish off by going back home,
And that’s how it concludes.
If I could travel anywhere,
I’d travel near and far.
If I could travel anywhere,
I’d go further than the stars.
