The ones who fought the war

This is a poem to remind us that we should never forget the ones that gave us our freedom.

A poem for the fallen,

The scarred, the bruised,

The ones that fought the war,

For me and you.

For the people not forgotten,

Not now and never,

the ones who fought the war,

Wherever, whenever.

For the ones that sacrificed,

Love and life,

The ones who fought the war,

Who fought through such strife.

The ones that were left unknown,

Not forgotten but gone,

The ones who fought the war

Their bravery caught on,

So don’t forget the fallen,

The sacrificed, the unknown,

The ones who fought for all of us,

Left pride on their stone
